The portal of the Bulgarian Choral Art provides information about: Its history; The Bulgarian Choirs Union – objectives, status, organization scheme, territorial structure, management, activities; the Bulgarian choirs – types, territorial repartition, detailed information about choirs members of the BCU; the Choir Conductors; the Bulgarian Composers authors of choral music; the Bulgarian Choral Works; Periodical and forthcoming choral festivals, concourses and concerts in the country and abroad.

The information provided for the different choirs, conductors and composers corresponds to the answers the members of the BHU have given to a questionnaire especially developed for the needs of the web site.

In the future the portal will also provide information about: the Music schools, courses and pedagogues, specialized in the education of singers and choral conductors; the Bulgarian publications in the domain of the choral music (Bulgarian Bibliography of Choral Art).
The names of the choirs, the conductors, the composers and the choral pieces of art are transcribed according to the rules especially established for the needs of the present site and explicated in the table beneath. The names, which are already known under other transcriptions, are presented in all their variants, but the information concerning the respective choir, conductor, composer or piece of art is attached to the transcription, which follows the Rules of transcription adopted for the site.
